Maxim Integrated Products designs and manufactures highly-integrated, analog; mixed-signal; high-frequency; and digital circuits to a variety of industries such as medical; communications; mobile consumer; industrial; and automotive. In 1983, General Electric's Scientist of the Year winners, Dave Bingham and Lee Evans, joined with seven other industry pioneers to create a 2-page business plan that flourished into a successful company that was making $2.47 billion by 2011. Some of Maxim's notable acquisitions include Tektronix in 1994, Dallas Semiconductor in 2001, SensorDynamics in 2011, and Volterra Semiconductor in 2013.
